Ho ho whoa! What a day I had down under!
I popped into Surfers Paradise early to deliver a few surfboards to some very lucky kids, and before I knew it, a jolly bunch of lifesavers invited me to try surfing. “Come on, Santa,” they said, “we’ll teach you to hang ten!”
Well, I couldn’t say no to that.
Mrs Claus packed me a sun hat, elf-sized zinc, and a pair of candy-cane-striped board shorts (don’t worry, I still wore my boots — safety first). The elves cheered from the shoreline and the reindeer? They flat-out refused. “Too sandy,” snorted Dasher, who spent the entire time lounging under a beach umbrella with carrot juice in hoof.

Let’s just say… it turns out surfing is much harder than flying a sleigh. I wiped out five times, swallowed half the Pacific Ocean, and accidentally rode my board backwards — but I did catch one magnificent wave!
The crowd cheered. An elf cried. I think I saw a crab applaud.
So if you’re ever in Surfer's on Christmas Eve, keep your eyes on the beach. You might just see me catching a wave and yelling, “Ho ho SURF’S UP!”
Love Santa x 🎅
